Meet Daddy Lau.
AKA Chung Sun Lau: the internet's favorite Cantonese chef with 50+ years of experience. Loving father of two and grandfather of five.
A lifetime of cooking experience

Chung started cooking when he was 12 years old, fending for himself in China after being separated from his parents.
Being thrust into adulthood at a young age, he now knows how to cook over 2,000 recipes from memory, ingrained by his childhood in Toisan, culinary school in China, running a food cart on Wall Street, opening his own restaurant in the Bay Area, California, and continuing to cook after said restaurant was burned down in the 90s.
On September 1st, 2020, Chung and his son Randy published their very first recipe, Mapo Tofu, on YouTube and our blog to preserve our Cantonese heritage for his grandchildren and future generations to come.
Within 2 years, Made With Lau hit 1 million subscribers on YouTube, becoming one of the most trusted authorities for teaching Chinese cooking with two James Beard Awards for their heartfelt storytelling and in-depth instruction. Chung gets to teach millions of people every month through a deep and rich catalog of recipes and cooking instruction.
Chung's work has been featured in the world's largest publications, like CNN, Today, and New York Times (to name a few)!
